What it means:

Sometimes the pressure can mount and it’s hard to think, breathe, or even move. When that happens, take a deep breath and remember baseball, at the end of the day, is a game. It’s supposed to be fun. That’s when you need to smile and let it rip.


Who it’s for:

This mindset is for anybody who gets stuck in their head. In high-pressure situations, it’s easy to feel the nerves. And sometimes, feeling a little bit of nervousness is okay. But when you’re cripplingly anxious in times of stress, remember that you’re trying to have fun. Just smile and let it rip.

What it looks like:

You step up to the plate in the bottom of the ninth, and you’re playing your biggest rivals. Bases loaded, two outs. You can either win the game for your team or go down swinging, but either way, it falls on you.


These situations in which the steaks feel impossibly high are the times to remember to smile and let it rip. It’s not always easy, but you will always play better if you can relax and loosen up. 


No matter how much pressure you feel, try to smile and let it rip.
