ABOUT GUARDIAN BASEBALL & ITS FOUNDERS

We're not only online sellers, we're business-minded athletes that stock our warehouses and use our own inventory. We train youth and adult teams every single day in our training facilities. We live and breathe baseball and feel blessed to be able to provide you with the best industry selection. That's how we're different.

About Us

Dedicated to helping Louisville children enjoy “America’s Pastime”, Guardian Baseball was created for baseball lovers by baseball lovers. We strive to bring the community together through good sportsmanship and nurture leadership skills and teamwork, while players enjoy more time outdoors and improve their fitness and health.

Who Is Guardian Baseball?

Founded in 2017, Guardian Baseball is the brainchild of Zev Bernard and Matt Kubancik. Both men grew up immersed in the sport – they played from the age of just five years old, waited in line to get autographs at the stadium, and thought there was nothing better in the world than breaking in a new baseball glove or pair of cleats.

Zev Bernard

A former college baseball player originally from Los Angeles, Zev is passionate about the sport, but even more so about getting today’s youth involved at an early age. In addition to his role with Guardian Sports, Zev operates an indoor training facility in the heart of Louisville and is involved with 15 different youth travel baseball teams.

Zev's responsible for all logistic and inventory related tasks. He's very hands on with our products, and ultimately decides whether or not the product quality is up to industry standard.

Matt Kubancik

Matt loved and played baseball from an early age, and enrolled his kids in one of Zev’s teams. When the two met, they immediately connected and became friends. What would eventually become Guardian Baseball grew from that mutual love of the sport and deep friendship.

Matt's responsible for product merchandising and overseeing our online landscape. As a serial entrepreneur, Matt is excited to be involved in an industry he loves.
